FEATURE-LENGTH DVD!
We are very excited as we approach completion of our feature length DVD "Let The Good Times Roll". It has been a massive editing process as I'm sure you can imagine - 20 songs filmed with 11 cameras with 16 track audio. It was OUTSTANDING!
The 5 Star Revue (Dan Thomas - guitar, Jason Colevecchia - bass, Robin Houston - drums, Catherine Goodrick - vocals, and yours truely - sax and vocals) put on a remarkable evening of entertainment that you will want to watch over and over again. We hope to have the DVD ready for release in October!
This will also mark 60 years that I have been playing in a Rock & Roll band! It will also be my 75th birthday! A confluence of these three great moments coming together suggests a BIG PARTY to come!

I am excited to begin my 60th season of rock & Roll with the opening game being played at Hamilton's best music venue, STONEWALLS on York Blvd, Sunday January 21st from 3pm to 7pm.... a Sunday Matinee!

TRICKBAG, a wonderful New Orleans style blues band featuring DONNA PANCHEZAK on vocals will be opening the show. Great for listening and dancing.
BEAST of BURDON is a Rolling Stones tribute band with full costumes that will have you up on the dance floor singing. SONNY'S 5 STAR REVUE features CATHERINE GOODRICK, JASON COLAVECCHIA, DAN THOMAS and ROBIN HOUSTON, including special guests BRANT PARKER, a brilliant blues singer and guitar player along with COREY LUECK singer and harmonica player.

SONNY DEL RIO BEATS LUNG CANCER AND KEEPS ON ROCKIN'
Hey everbody! Secret Santa here reporting from the Del Rio camp at the North Pole! Well, would you believe North Hamilton? :)
I'm here to tell you that Sonny Del Rio is still doing what he does best... playing the sax and to prove it he will be hosting the 16th annual HAMILTON HOMETOWN CHRISTMAS show.
The show will take place at the Bay City Music Hall on Sunday December 4th. Doors open at 6:30pm and the music starts at 7:00pm.
Sonny would like to thank all his Family, Friends and Fans for their words of encouragement and Prayers. It was a great help during this very dificult time.
The show is in support of 'An Instrument For Every Child' and 'The Spectator Summer Camp For Kids'.

Sonny Del-Rio gets Ready for his Annual X-mas Show
Well kids, it's been a wonderful summer with many outdoor festivals and parties including the Dundas Cactus Festival, It's Your Festival, ConcessionFest, The King Biscuit Boy Blues Cruise, and a few others.
I also had the pleasure of performing several shows with my son's band TommyGunn, most recently at Stonewalls for the TommyGunn video release party; a video in which I was honoured to play a part, along with Kelly J, Tom Wilson and Jack Peddlar. The video is aptly named The Hounds of Hamilton (Ah-woo-ooo-ooo!).
Now the leaves are changing colour; soon the snow will fly and once again it will be time for our annual Hamilton Hometown Christmas Show. This will be our 12th annual show and as always will feature many wonderful performers. The date is set; Sunday December 7th and the location once again will be the beautiful Bay City Music Hall. More details to follow soon.

Together we rip up the stage with our jumpin, jivin, rockin' show, a performance you won't want to miss.55 Years of Rockin' ... and Rollin' On!
That's right! 55 years of playing in a Rock and Roll band! My first band, in 1957, was the Gold Tones. A lot of water under the bridge since then. So... we are having a big party to celebrate. With lots of musical guests. Confirmed so far; Ray Materick and his new group Home Sweet Home, Harrison Kennedy, SmokeWagon Blues Band, Christopher Clause, Les Smith, Jude Johnson, Carl Horton, Ronnie and The Rockets, We Got Blues and many more to come!
Sonny Awarded the 'Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal'
It was a great thrill to be presented, along with 29 other Hamiltonions, the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal. The ceremony took place at Michaelangelos on November 4th. It was very moving experience and I am extremely proud to be so honoured.
